Warehouse bigger than a football
pitch!
Hereford Galvanizers have recently been involved with a £3.0m
project to construct a new warehouse for CPW, a furniture company
based in Rye, East Sussex.
280 tonnes of structural steelwork
were galvanized for the main contractor Scorpion Engineering & Construction,
who are based in Marlborough, Wilts.
The project was erected
over ten phases and completed on time with a week to spare!
The new warehouse provides CPW with nearly 14,000 sq metres
of floor space, one and half time the size of a football pitch
!
All of the steelwork was fabricated locally, galvanized and
then transported to site with our vehicles to meet with the
construction sequence.
Back to School for Shropshire.
Shropshire Galvanizers has recently gone back to school in assisting local fabricator Oswestry Industrial Buildings Limited. The £1M contract for Wygar Construction involves the supply and erection of painted as well as galvanized steel for the Windmill Primary School at Brookside, Telford.
Galvanizing was chosen on the external roof sections to provide long life and low maintenance; the whole project should be complete by mid 2007.
